AWP vs. Scout

I like the scout because nothing is better then killing a guy holding a sniper rifles thats 3 times as powerful as your gun. I get a kick out of it everytime. AWP just doesnt seem like a gun that would be very fun....Shoot a dudes baby toe and he falls over and dies. I see where it has its place in the game but i dont see it as a very "fair" weapon specially with some maps you can take 3 steps and see the other teams spawn.

FACTS
Lets Start of with some facts.
There's 95% chance to get a kill with an awp.
Awp take reflexes,timing,aim and patience.
Pro's use awp not scout because with the scout you have to rely on a good headshot or 2-3 shots.
The Awp is considered a "noob" gun only because its powerful, Like the auto shotty.
When running with the scout its faster than with the knife/ So is a good gun in open areas.

With the scout its vital you take them out quickly or there going to kill you, Because if they have an M4 or AK and you have a scout they have the better chance of victory.
Id say it depends on the map.Lots of space,Open map = Scout because you can shoot quicker move faster, hence less chance getting shot and is far more accurate and accuracy in open areas is vital
Whilst "medium" close quarters area (Office) are good for awp because you can take them out quickly and efficiently.

FACT

Did you know that 99% of statistics are just made up numbers with no real mathematical calculations to back them up?

Both weapons take skill, however people who call a gun "noob" need to really quit being rude and cry babies because they believe that the gun is too powerful or cheap. Specific guns were put in for a reason, the M4 and AK were put in to show that, if you have the accuracy of a 1 shot kill to the head use the AK, if you want to have some patience and good control in a spray situation take the M4.

AWPS and Scouts were made for the general purpose of scouting enemies out and either taking a shot or calling the route. Scouts are not bad weapons but the reason people choose AWPS over scouts is really because of power and the skill it takes to have a quick and accurate shot. Also, people who say you may die fast because they move slow well word of advice, if you are good with the hand gun of your preference you will never be stopped. Especially if you are a deagle person.

In order to be an AWPER you need certain techniques.
1. A quick trigger finger.
2. A quick switch finger
3. Good hearing.
4. PATIENCE
5. Vision
6. Finally, skill.

People will always say the AWP is a noob gun especially if they play very good people. I say, if you were the person who bought a scout instead of an AWP and lost the round/match because of the lack of damage the scout does, I would be taking you and placing you on the roster as a reserve.

Pros choose the gun because they are pros. They know what they are doing, you know why? because they make the big bucks and in order to make big bucks you make easy decisions. Money=Kills, Kills=AWP, No money=Scout Scout=1:5 KD Ratio.

This is just a proven fact when scrimming or using it in small servers, people laugh at you in a match for buying a scout. I would rather do a save round with a USP rather than waste my money.

both require skill - end of discussion
awp = expensive, heavier, more powerful
scout = cheaper, lighter, easier to noscope, but not as powerful

Well, here is my opinion like anyone of you care but here it is anyway.

Scouts or awps it doesnt really matter. I play with scouts because its fun but when I am in a match of course I choose the awp over the scout. For one, its mostly a 1 shot 1 kill with it. But like other people have called it a "noob" weapon. For pubs I agree, but for matches, I say pick the awp. But thats just my opinion. Either or they are both fun weapons.

Oh really? The world of CSS somewhat confuses me somewhat....

A pro using a noobish one hit kill weapon...

bah, I don't want to go into this argument for the 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000(stopped here to stop spam)th time.

its not like the awp takes no skill im tired of people thinking that try to no scope somone from across the map while moving.......... ive done it

Let's make a contrast here.

The glock. Some people are pro with it, others despise it and would rather rush you with a knife from across the map.

It depends on the player!

Any1 who thinks a scout is better then a awp has obviously never played competativly, and if the awp is just "point and click" well then id like to see you "point and click" vs any1 in a league who knows what there doing

AWP.

I love destroying people with it, but I hate it when my friend uses it when we have playing 2v2 >.<

But gotta love Scout too, mainly becuase it's the only sniper available on eGO servers.

if the awp is allowed in cs, you might as well unlock the plasma rifle too...

WOW this is still flying xD over 50 post xD thanks for all the love hehe jk but thanks, your answers have been good guys

hmm... well im trying not to be biased here but since i hate getting pwned by the awp i have to go with the scout. Mind you that is just my preference. I know for a fact that the Awp is a "better weapon". Its a one hit kill for the most part. I just like to own people with a scout. It's really disconcerting when all of the sudden your team mates start dropping like flies without a sound except for the *dink* of a head shot lol. xD i love watching the other team panic to try to find me!

I would definitely describe myself as a rank amateur when it comes to sniping, and as such my preference will lie with the awp because it afford me some degree of extra competency due to its ease of racking up kills. That said I definitely appreciate the awp free nature of the eGO servers, my time with the scout felt forced at first but I have grown to appreciate the art of the headshot and have much more respect for those who snipe me (and far less :cursing:).

sniping in general takes skill
otherwise awp is much easier to use than scout because you do not need to hit them in the head for 1 hit kill, also its 100% accurate. scout is not...its actually quite inaccurate, and requires a handful of luck at long range.
whoever said awp was inaccurate in this thread needs to stop moving before they shoot it, as long as you are not moving it is 100% accurate. scout you can move while you shoot but its never 100% accurate unless you crouch. it is actually quite inaccurate if you aim at one spot, and fire continuously at it...you'll notice how bad it is (give it a try down the hallways of highschool)
every private lesson i give i demonstrate this.

so sniping? takes lots of skill (meaning to use awp and or scout effectively)
awp vs scout = awp is easy to use but obviously much better to get kills with since you don't need headshots...anything above the legs will kill. scout is harder to use because you need to hit them in the face, or you're pretty much dead...but its much more fun to use, and makes you look extremely leet. reason being if you get killed while using a scout you can just say, so what im using a scout..pfft...but if you own with it you look like a god

edit: also in pub situations scout>awp by FAR because if awp is available, its quite literally the only weapon people use...which makes it the most annoying weapon in the game, because its all people use. Whats this? objective? no thanks, im awping
