Venom - Signature

Made a new signature for the EdgeGamers forums, I am quite rusty as I have only been designing logos, banners, etc. and not signatures lately on Photoshop. I have tons of other signature, which are better than this but I need to get back into the 'business'..

Anyways, here it is:

I'm loving it. The only thing I can see is that the main picture (the black thing) doesn't blend in well with the background. It kind of looks like you took it from a comic and then slapped it on top of a real life picture.

Other than that it looks great!

That black thing is the evil Spiderman (can't remember the name) xD C'mon Tidus. Never seen Spiderman 3? Me neither haha. I like it but Tidus is right.

[Two Listen]

A larger image would've been better. Venom's a pretty wicked character, and in addition, is often depicted with a lot of detail. To shrink him down to that size makes it look very grainy, noisy, and difficult to read. In addition, as has been mentioned - the background seems very full, volumous, and foggy and very much contrasts with the blatantly 2D character.

I would've made the signature larger as a whole, to compensate somewhat for the noisy comic book character - the background a little brighter with colors adjusted to fit the character a little bit more (nullifying some of the stark difference in styles, allowing for some transition), and finally - perhaps sharpen the background, to compensate for the very sharp character image and make it feel more complete.

Not too bad as a whole, though.
