I think I got a little carried away with effects in the backgrond but I think something like this is my style I realy like the way it looks I get the most enjoyment from making this style but i went a little overboard lol anyway I wanted to try a real person in my sig and failed anyway here it is

Amateur, all of them. You do not understand the basic of a sig, or digital art in general. Throwing a render on top of a background, and putting someone else's C4D or brush on it does not make it yours. You are basically ripping, not technically, though.

You need to do more then what your doing. You need to have blending, actual composition, flow, depth, all these things that every decent artist talks about. You have very little understanding of art obviously, which is understandable. Everyone starts some where.

So what I suggest is you either read online about these concepts I have mentioned, study art in general, or move on.

I am not a professional or anything, but I have 2 years of legitimate experience behind my back. Now do what you want with my criticism, but whatever you do, don't take it offensively.

Oh my..every single word he said was true..
he said he took a bg, render and a c4d and made a signature out if it.
But what he needs is, depth,using things inside photoshop, and the other things he said..so i think what he said is 100%true.

With respect I disagree.

When it comes to art, the best way to improve is by having someone hammer down on your work. From reading Kinetik's post I gather that he had no ill intentions. he points out things that seem to be correct. He provides key terms that will allow the artist to work specifically on; such as depth, composition and flow.

eGO has set up a public forum for users to post their work and have it C&C'd (comments and critiques). If people can't provide real feedback how can someone improve?

It isn't like he pointed out facts that weren't well known either. If anything he said what a lot of people were thinking. If everyone responds all happy like and positive than the artist will see no reason to try new things or adapt their work because they think it's good; when in reality it does.

I understand people such as Camp Commando and 3sev3n getting perturbed by a post like that. However at the same time I can personally guarantee that everyone of these senior artist has had it done to them. lSeYeKol and I go back and forth at each other on pretty much anything we post, not out of spite but out of encouragement. This is because different people look for different things in art.

The bottom line is that without criticism it is nearly impossible for innovations or improvements to occur. 3sev3n is not bad at digital art but he is an amateur and like anyone who takes part in art he needs improvement.

Thats my 2cents.

and yes I just started, after years of tryin to find a outlet to express my artistic side
this is the FIRST way I found to do that Im not good with paint clay or pencils. from what I remember art was suppost to be fun. ripping I dont think so atleast 60% of people that make sigs use renders and the background I use as a tool create a world."So what I suggest is you either read online about these concepts I have mentioned, study art in general, or move on." why should I have to move on? If I just did this the rest of my life I would be ok with it BECAUSE ITS FUN. hopefully in two years from now Ill be using zbrush not STILL be making sigs this is a start for me not the end.

ok I went with a bigger render and lost the blankness. I went for a felling that goes something like this....

Im soo scared walking thru these woods in the mistical but dangerous land I hear a creek and a owl whoot, my heart racing all I have is a spoon to fend off any ravenous monsters then when my fear just about totaly consumes me I turn around and find a good witch that can protect me and every thing is ok in the scary woods lol err something like that

Ive been away and lost all my old stuff, still running gimp and have not gotten any better heres just a few

I have a problem just getting in the mood but for the last 4 months i been working 80 hours a week with a day off here and there but still no excuse for amatuer creations

but i see camp is improving gj
