New item questions

I am very confused about all of these new items, etc. So am I still able to find all of the weapons that can be had, or do I have to do something special for any of them? Also, are there new things besides weapons and hats? Thanks.

I think the only thing you *have* to buy is a key for the crates, everything else you can find in random drops.

New stuff includes pile of gifts and gift boxes, which give a random gift to someone on the server. There are also paints for painting items and the dueling minigame.

and you don't even really have to buy them if you don't want too, just leave your crates unopened or trade them?

Anyway, now Valve made them trade-able so you can trade for keys!

Just go into one of the servers with the new halloween map find the gifts and kill the HorseMann and you should be fine

Some of the weapons can be obtained through milestone achievements, so you don't have to just wait for them to drop.

I bought a key today and wasn't so happy I got the Battalions Backup....
