Benchmarking Thread!

Why does it say 53fps on mine? o.O My first run was on stock clocks and was 54, but my two runs on OC clocks were 57/58. Avg them all together you still get 56.3333. I think Phobus is tired!
Actually I probably will try to re-run them once I find a better OC for my 965!

Lol. My bad. I am pretty tired. Sleep I has not been getting. Fixed.

Also, I'm rounding decimal places this time around, unless the benchmark gives the scores in decimal places.

Apparently 470s are tessellation beasts. I remember my old 470 (overclocked like a mofo of course) paired with an Athlon II 240 @ 3.9ghz got around 80fps. Yes, 80. This only gets 34!? Time to overclock.

Just out of curiosity, does CCC still override software settings for tessellation?
 
it can, so yea, you could really be a newb and slant the bench in your favor.....

Just tried re-running it with the "AMD Optimized" settings, and I got the same results (actually lost a frame on one run). There was a "Level" bar with different settings, though, that I didn't mess with. I suppose it could be possible to set tessellation to "Off" in CCC, if someone really wanted to cheat.

Hm... the window you ran it in looks awfully square. Can I get a non-resized image?

e. Scratch that. I save that image and checked the aspect ratio, and it checks out. Added.

Nope, I read all the small text :P Big text I assumed was titles I guess.

I have to run it full screen to get crossfire to work (same with sli) and then alt+enter back into windowed mode to move cpuz/gpuz into the picture. My desktop resolution is 6048x1080 with a 1920x1200 monitor over the top of it.... so it's pretty dang large :P I crop that down in gimp for ya :)

Does that scaling seem impossible? It's way over 100%. I'm going to run it on one card when I get home to compare to Ma$termind and the others on a single 6950...
 
I remember reading somewhere that SLI/CFX doesn't really work properly, or gets read incorrectly.
 
Can you pick a lower resolution next time? 1280x720? These are the times I regret only getting a 768MB card.

I really don't think you would do any better with a 1GB card there... as long as you aren't exceeding your framebuffer you are ok. As it's stands that's the highest single card score posted yet.

No, because the lower the resolution, the more ridiculous the numbers get, and if we have nice hardware, why just tickle it? I actually want to do full on 1080p, but not everyone has a 1080p screen.

Thanks, I was really only wondering about the resolution because my main monitor is only 1600x900 and it was just bugging me having a huge image being rendered and I can only see a tiny portion of it. I saw my neighbor's 24" 1080p monitor and was dumbfounded by the size and awesomeness of it. ;)

Seems like top two from each bracket would be a nice balance.

oh, you only have 1600x900? Did you run the bench at 1680x1050?
 
So I got the bench to run on my laptop at 1680x1050, but It won't show the FPS ticker.....


I think I'll sit out this one.
