Shutterbugs flutter here!

Yea, that's right, I'm reviving this thread. :D
Recently, I've been getting more into photography, so here are a couple pics I took. Note, I only have a 6 megapixel camera, and it's not that great, so my pics will probably be sub par :(

Here's all my pics: [link=hyperlink url]http://www.flickr.com/photos/26442744@N02/[/link]

I love taking close-ups... :)

I guess not...up to us to keep this thread alive! Hopefully, I'll have some good ones to put up soon!

After a couple weeks of inactivity, I'm bring this thread back to life. Here's a couple of photos that were so-so when I took them, but the magic of color adjustment in Photoshop really brought them to life.

Zombie threads FTW. :) I need to get out again and start taking more pics. Maybe in the next couple weeks when my work schedule is all but dead. :D

i have some photos :D probably won't be able to post though, they are really bad (i took them with my phone)

My pictures are anything but quality in comparison to the rest of the efforts put forth so far; however, to contribute what I have...

these are from a model airplane fly-in recently. there where hundreds of planes, prop planes, jets, b-52s, lots of neat models to look at:

You've got some good ideas, there. It's just a matter of practice and you'll have some jaw-dropping stuff in no time.

Even so, you have a good start. Your photos are well-framed, and it's easy to tell what your subject is. Like Flippy said, keep up the practice and it will come to you. :D

Incidentally, those are some BEAUTIFUL model planes. Where was this? We have a USAF aircraft museum here in town (largest on the west coast and one of the largest in the US) and I just went to their "open cockpit day", so I'm on a bit of a military hardware (re)high. I love military paraphernalia, and the history behind it all. I'm actually signing up to be a volunteer dosen (tour guide) in my spare time there. :D

Wow, nice photos everyone!
I'm a little late here, but here are some of my feeble attempts at digital photography (I get confused with photography if the equipment does things for me. I learned on a Nikon F from the 1960s that didn't even have an internal light meter).

My daughter. She's angry about something, but I love the composition of the shot.

Another of my daughter. These are old, she was 2 or 3 in them, she's 4 now. This one turned out well for shooting down my own arm like that...

A bike path near my house. I like the way the path leads off into the distance, and the absolutely flat horizon (it's the Cherry Creek Dam, near my house in Denver.

My kids, about 2 years ago. They are the most common thing for me to take pics of these days!

Cool graphiti at the High School my wife went to.

Just a power line.
Hmm. I need to take the camera out more and take some more. I always forget how much fun photography is! Thanks for reminding me!

Turtle, those are most excellent! Keep up the good work! Having fun is SO much more important than always getting good shots!

P.S. Get ready for a BIG update...some pictures I realize I hadn't posted yet.

Okay guys, here's another pretty big update, so I'll try to split them up. I realize some of them may be repeats, but I couldn't quite remember and I love them all! :D

This first section is some more Yosemite/Hite's Cove pics I don't think I put up before:

A beautiful butterfly that posed not only once, but twice for me!

Second section I call Wanderlust, since it's random pictures I'm taking when I (with or without the Ladymoose) get the urge to just "go".

One of the frequent visitors to my parents' backyard is the House Finch. Here's one chilling out on the fence.

Wildflowers...can't quite remember what they are.

Here, let me zoom in...that's El Capitan, Cloud's Rest, and Half Dome of Yosemite, about 10 miles away or so.

Nice shots, Moose! My backyard is currently swarmed with finches as well, they LOVE the black oil sunflower seeds I put out for them!

Oh man, we get 'em all...White Crown, Yellow Crown, House Finch, Scrub Jay, Robin, you name it. The folks have two bird feeders, a waterfall, and a birdbath.
