Hope I'm not postin this out of order...

I just wanted to hop on and say hey and that I really enjoy your server. The rules are a bit strict for my taste but it's still very quality gameplay.

There are a lot of servers that prohibit foul language but I've never been on a server ('cept my own) that did not allow people to say "gay" in general. A lot of servers would say it's not okay to be racist or disrespectful in any way but then if someone says "gay," that's totally okay somehow. It's not the worst word ever I know, and it doesn't even bother me very much but I dunno... I guess it's sorta the principle of it if you know what I mean. I just don't see any good in using a word that puts gays down (even if it is unintentional) when there are tons of other words that express you without being disrespectful.

It's rare to see a server that doesn't allow "***" but for me it's almost unheard of to see one that doesn't allow "gay." So I gotta say, I really respect your sense on that and your willingness to enforce that even if it does cost you a few immature players.

Thanks for taking the time to come and post your points. I'm sure you are right in that we are in a minority in terms of the way the clan's rules are enforced.

But thats what keeps people with us. Some of the terms you mentioned may not seem all that bad, and may not be classed as what most people see as 'profanity'. However they are discriminating and that means they are not welcome here.

There is an incredible diversity within this clan. So one person won't be offended by the strongest of language, another person will be. So in order to make sure everyone is happy we make sure that anyone resorting to profanity/discrimination are dealt with quickly.
Additionally, I personally think that if you let one thing slide generally, then it will escalate. We'll find ourselves allow more and more until our server suffers from the same issues as the others. So we stick to the rules rigidly so there is no room for misinterpretation.

Sure we'll lose the immature players along the way, but then those really aren't the people we are looking for.

The price we pay is immature players. The product we receive is a fun and friendly environment.

Haha :) I'm very very dedicated to my clan. They mean a lot to me and I can't just leave them. Flattered that you think of me as edgegamer material though :)

Or better yet, we'll see you in the servers!
 
You certainly wouldn't have to leave your clan to join. However, I respect your fidelity, and am glad that you like to come to our house to play. If the rest of them are like yourself, they're more than welcome to come by anytime!

It is good to see other clan members praising our clan. If everybody in your clan is like you, then please bring them over our servers :)
