Your EdgeGamers Story

Why did you join eGO? Vudu recruited me into eGO after I randomly found the Turbine server in like 2010.
Favorite eGO memories The best times I had was as the recruiting advisor for TF2 and hosting Talk Like a Pirate Night.
eGO Pride You really can't beat the connections you make with the people there.

Why did you join eGO? I joined because of the Merge and just because i love ttt so much

Favorite eGO memories - When we are full admins its fun for then there will be alot of fun talk and good fun and then we love to do reports together its fun and just when you get Traitor on a ttt server and get 9 kills in close combat with an awp :P

eGO Pride - i will always stay here in ego because them i talk with are here, and after the merge i felt like ego is the new home for me, so i will always have more and more memories and fun days:)

Why did you join eGO?: I joined because of the merge, and honestly the transition was nice. I played jailbreak for quite a while, and am close to top 5 in terms of days on the server. So yea, mostly joined eGO because I love jailbreak so much, I started with TTT however.
Favorite eGO memories: There are always some great late night jailbreak moments, and chaotic times on full servers that I enjoy, one of my memorable ones is probably when Mayhem hopped on and started creating chaos with promotions.
eGO Pride: I love representing our community (and you guys should play some 10mans/go to events~).

so the first time I ever joined one of the servers was on cs back in april with my friends; not sure if this was before or after the merge because I wasn’t a regular member; so it was a course map and we played about 2 of them and then I had to go but it was fun but i later forgot about it. then in August I was getting bored of comp and decided to find a community server and I went into my history and found mg and joined. I was on for a little and everyday I kept going back and it got more enjoyable and interesting. i met new people and made so many friends and now its basically where i spend all my time when I’m playing cs.
favorite memory - honestly I don’t have just one. almost all the moment on the servers are memorable
eGO Pride - I’ve made so many good friends and I’m so thankful for that

It was a random server that my buddy Bumble-Bee and I joined way back in 2009 that happened to be the css high school server and we joined after that on a whim, ended up being on the css competitive team and various other things. He made O before I did, but eventually I did. Took a hiatus after a tragedy took Bumble-Bee from this world at 24 years old and now just making my way back into the community and its been a warm welcome and nice making new friends.

Favorite memory would be playing the highschool map constantly with Zoomer and Ashley because we had so much fun doing it.

The pride of eGO is knowing that it's not just games, but you're apart of a huge family.

retired and can't go scuba diving till the doc's release me so I'm back into gaming. Spend a lot of time on your server so thought I'd stop and say hi.

Hey! Just want to quickly introduce myself here on the forums, although this thread was made nearly 2 years ago. I joined eGO for its link between eGO and pG, and recently noticed the notoriety of the leadership around the eGO servers. As a constant TF2 player, I've been playing on the pG Hightower server since late 2017 for its intensity and fun around the server - but since its very link between pG and eGO, it has been better since. To be fairly honest with you I want to become an admin for the hightower server, because of the constant downside of hackers, mic-spammers and racists throughout the server. I've met a lot of friends throughout my year upon the hightower, with plenty of great memories alongside - including frags and clips created by myself. As a trolldier main, with over 50k kills on my market gardener - I'm proud to play on the eGO servers, especially with my friends and the welcoming people I've met throughout the year.

Why did you join eGO? I was referred by a friend on Discord.
Who recruited you? evilp00h
On what server? Discord
Favorite eGO memories (could be of events, could be old members you have good ol stories with, etc.): None so far...hope to make lots of memories with you all.
eGO Pride - Why you choose to game here / What keeps you with eGO? I chose to game here because you all seem like a nice group of people and fun to play with.

Well, just saw this but figured I'd give it a go
Why did I Join eGO? When I first found this server looking for a different server I fell in love with it immediately, the overall fun experience, the admins were great and helped answer any questions and after a bit I decided that I wanted to be part of this amazing community.
My favorite memory My favorite memories of eGO has got to be all the fun events that are hosted in the csgo division.
Why I choose to continue gaming in eGO Once I started playing eGO I fell in love insantly, and the more I played the more I realize this has got to be te best server ever. Admin are helpful, there wasn't any ridiculous toxicity for being new, no racism at all and a good set of rules to help keep the toxicity down to a minimum. so I continued to play and here I am now, completely addicted playing a couple hours a day :)

Gonna give this a go.
Why did I Join eGO? When I was watching Node's video. They play Gmod TTT. I was thinking if there was one on CS:GO. And I was right.
My favorite memory? Mm. Rdming Admin Of course. Teehee~ And I met good and kind players. :)
Why did I choose to continue gaming in eGO? Thanks to Musa for recruiting me. I love this play whether I'm active or not. Cause eGO is been part of my family. People here are like my big or little brother or sister. :)

Why not give it a go :P

Why did I Join eGO? : I joined due to the merge between eGO and PG and have been playing pG for 4-5 months at the time of the merge.

My favorite memory? : There's no specific memory but I love the late night games when I'm super tired but would just be chilling and having a great laugh with the other players on JB. (Last CT clutches, Last T clutches, jokes and an all around good time)

Why did I choose to continue gaming in eGO/ eGO pride: I've met a lot of cool people from all around the world and the server connects us all which leads to us having fun and having a good time.

This seems pretty interesting to type. I'm gonna go through my history of being with you guys.

I used to play on the pg servers and was recruited by a guy named Crazy Apple (yet to find him still). He helped me through a lot of things im capable to do now. I was known as "Ace" on pg servers, but never really got known and didn't try. Pg started to get boring for me and the servers seemed to start to die down, but I did love meeting the people on their and sharing real life experiences with them. I was with pg for about a year or so. I found out that pg switched to eGO and it seemed like our servers then were starting to grow and get more members. My favorite eGO memories are honestly, all of them. Being apart of eGO has shown me to be mature and have pride. I have had my ups and downs with eGO, but I really feel that I can turn that around and create great memories with all of you. Once person that really taught me to really be myself was CtrlAltDelicious . Ctrl has had to deal with me for the longest time, as well as Mayhem Death . Both of these outstanding members of eGO really show what we are capable of doing. Ctrl and Mayhem have shown their anger with me, but as well shown their generosity. I have done some messed up things in eGO but truthfully they helped me with so much and i'm glad that I decided to come back to eGO for good and continue doing what I love doing. Ctrl and Mayhem, seriously, thank you! Every member and leadership of eGO has came to me to help me with anything in a matter of seconds, and that is what I believe eGO is. We make memories for people that is unforgettable. eGO has shown me my pride and I hope that we are doing that for others as well. Thank you guys and have a safe and healthy day. Peace.

Longer than most of my posts, but I'd thought I share my eGO story.

I found eGO through server-hopping. I usually server-hop whenever a community/group of servers I play on goes to waste or shuts down (most recent example: Lifepunch, R.I.P.), and as a recurring server-hopper there are obviously a lot of servers that I do not like (not naming names but if you know, you know). All those servers have one thing in common: a lack of the sense of community. Before I joined eGO, I hit the point where I had basically went through most GMod communities, so I quit GMod (edit: Turns out, I eventually returned to help out eGO's effort in reviving GMOD, tis to a wonderful time).

I decided to continue server-hopping on CS:GO servers, and one day I happened to join eGO's JB server. I stuck around because not only were the people actually chill, but the admins didn't have the "I want to enjoy my time, quit bothering me about reports" mentality that PLAGUES most communities. One excessive swearing ban later and I joined eGO as a full-time member.

Around this time, I transferred to TTT and I introduced myself on the forums. As shown by my earlier posts, I started off within the community as a massive shitposter. Most of my threads were either joke threads in general chat or just plainly horrible suggestions.

[CONTROVERSY WARNING] Later, I became frustrated at the lack of administrative action being done on TTT, additionally, how unreachable some admins proved to be at times. So I combined my frustration and my (lack of) humor into the infamous The Case for DS Room Transparency thread (one of the most disliked posts in eGO history), and while I did edit a ton of humor out to make it a legit suggestion (I mean, when faced with deletion, you need to adapt). The thread, unfortunately, became divisive enough to where leadership had to shut the thread down.

Thankfully, the issue ended up slowly fading away and I met some cool people amidst the fallout, such as Dryden as well as Shalom not to mention kuantum and so many more people that I've grown to appreciate here. But the big idea that I took home after the thread is that eGO isn't just another conglomeration of servers to get banned on, in fact, eGO is a special community that's worth your time.

Onto my favorite memories of eGO, the absolute best from my time here at eGO so far were from the 2020 New Years 48hour event. The MS events that day were simply pog especially in Jackbox, even if the laughter they caused me led to me waking up the entire family at 2am MST (not good in a Latino household lol).

I stick around for more fun moments like these, once again, eGO is a special community that's worth your time. It's not another server, it's a place that has your back, should you ever need support. eGO is one of those communities where you'll meet genuine people who you can appreciate later on in life.

Thank you for all thus far, eGO, I love you all.

(EDIT: home for shalom)

Nice Watermelon , very honest and informative at the same time , hopefully you will get the admins that do go on the server to recognize that and help out , I hate seeing a server going to the dumpster , thank you for your input and honesty , happy future gaming .

  • Why did you join eGO? Tell us if you have a great recruitment story. Who recruited you? On what server? etc.
Well, I joined here in June of 2010 under the Insurgency division. Insurgency was only a source mod back then, think CS:S with iron sights and "modern combat". I used to play on our Dust 2 server and was recruited by Colonel Chimps, Gunney and The Yeti. I stuck with eGO because of the bond I formed with the leadership team I ultimately ended up being the ComMgr of for 8 years. I stayed here and spent a lot of time working alongside my leadership to help eGO support games like Arma 2 and 3, World of Warcraft, Garry's Mod, Planetside 2, League of Legends just to name a few of the games we supported.

  • Favorite eGO memories (could be of events, could be old members you have good ol stories with, etc.)
I have literally hundreds of memories floating around throughout the years, way too many to discuss so I just list a few and if you know you know. Arma 2 OA and Arma 3 Reaper Company and Operation Cypher. "Zeak has shit the bed, over". Fullscale raids in Planetside 2. Tribes Ascend "Gotta go fast bro". "Make sure you spam their box". Matt telling Steve he was going to fly to his house and kick his ass in front of Austin, myself and Chuck. World of Warcraft mythic raiding "Boom, you fail, wipe it". 3 hour CM meetings and accomplishing nothing. The DJYeti storm. Lower B in Dust 2 INS. Dominating Zimmy in office in CS:S. This could go on forever, I really do cherish those times I had with my team and the CM guys like Matt, Adam, Austin, Mike and all the other CMs/Directors that have come and gone.

  • eGO Pride - Why you choose to game here / What keeps you with eGO?
I joined without any intention of this becoming "home" for me for the 10+ years. I ended up staying for so long because of the people I met and some of which are still here in leadership. I've worked along side some of the greatest people around when we were running the now dissolved Op:X division and I wanted to add their names here because I wouldn't have stayed if it weren't for these people:
Hammer, Adam, Legend, Artimus, Dominion, Spray, Rocko, MostlyHarmless, Kendle, CWhit, Christy, Duality, Lungbuster, Meg, Summer, Jedihitman, Zimmy, WitchDocotor, Jade, Beta, Cable, Ric. And most importantly my team throughout the years: Yeti, ZeakDK, Albertfish, Seablade, Johnny, GranolaBar, Bolton, ProCombat, Satan, Vertago, Dutchoper, Stormy as well as all the other division leaders and advisors who helped us out throughout the years. Thank you all for making this place a fun place to be.
