Hey everyone, im going to buy some good PC games for having fun.. I found out that im interested in day of defeat.. Is it a good game and still a lot of people playing this? Also, Can someone recommend me which games should I try, too?

Edgegamers hosts a very popular DoD server that sticks to the map “Avalanche” 24/7.

DoD is not very similar to other Source games. It takes some teamwork and strategy, as well as a fair bit of practice get good at it. The mechanics are a tad different.

Just be aware most people who play it have been for 5-10+ years - mostly the die heads left haha. It can make it hard to get into when everyone has a bit of leg up since they've played a lot, and you would be new. But it's certainly learnable. We’re still busy. For the small price the game is, it’s worth trying.

Day of Defeat Source is the greatest multiplayer game ever invented. There are no debates. Nobody disagrees. The consensus is 100% from everyone who ever installed DOD for even 1 minute.

Actually I disagree, World of Warcraft or Everquest in its hay day had Day of Defeat beat. :p

Agree with adorable miracle world of warcraft trumps everything i still play lolll :)

I played high end everquest and was a member of a raid guild for a good 10 year period in its hay day. We raided most everyday except saturdays and sundays. :P I started playing world of warcraft with the developers of everquest after I had retired from the raid guild format.
