I felt like I knew what I was doing before I went through the class, and I pretty much did. I feel like I am an exception though because I had my admin powers before the class and had used them a few times. I also had read up on all the commands and policies so it was a real walk in the park for me. There were a few odd questions that I had cleared up by the class and I got a refined sense of the warn/kick/ban policies, but that was pretty close to what I had gathered before.

I'm probably an anomaly though since most people haven't had their admin rights before going through the class and I definitely think it is a really, really good part of eGO that should stay.

well the admin school has def helped me become a better admin. it def helped me w/ my attitude & my voice. if anyone who regularly talks w/ me, ull notice how low & soft my voice has gotten. also i have a more positive attitude w/ the clan & like usual, i like 2 help others out. now when it comes 2 the ratings, i would have to give it a 9.5 mostly due to the constant gray areas that we always have to deal w/.

10! Plus imo I think it should be either longer or in parts (say 2-3 specific classes for the full course)... that way the "students" can learn/practice more and all the details can be smoothed out..

what I mean about specific classes is, for example, a 45 min class on binds & commands... or a 30 min class on good admining, politeness, etc...

if not then we can always repeat the course as a refresher

Okay, well now that I've taken admin class I can say it definitely helped me a lot. I'd give it an 8 because it really helped in giving commands and the process is outlined clearly and easy to explain, but there are so many individual situations that occur that they can't teach how to respond effectively in each situation. You really pick up more on what's appropriate and what's not by watching and asking eGOs.

I've never been to an admin school, mostly for the same reason I don't go to other events: I'm always busy when they are happening. I probably should go to one once I have the time, as I always am unsure about certain things with my admining and I hate bothering Mostly Harmless or another Council member on whether or not I should take action and what I should do about it.

I went to a few of the admin schools and found that for a low level guy, That it was very helpfull back in the day. Now i don't know whats going on with the new guys. I see people with these medials for going to admin school, and i am like cool. You guys get stuff, i just went cus i wanted to know what to do now that i am a eGO So, to sum it up. my exprence was a 10/10. <3

Well I'm not an admin yet, but by the looks of other posters I'm sure it will be heplful. Great that eGO has these things.
