The way trivia is done now leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Team mates competing against eachother and then choosing their own to die? I think trivia can be done alot better, and alot funner. I call it...
Wyald Style Trivia(or not)
Wut.
Instead of having the Terrorists playing against eachother, have them work together as a team to answer trivia. There are three rounds of trivia, with hard questions that people may not be able to answer. If someone gets it right, nobody dies. After about 20-30 seconds, if nobody does, the T's are decimated. You might want to go as low as 10 seconds to stop googlers.
The general goal is to just have the T's remain a team.
---
Remember, as you have to ask 3 questions, you might want to think them up beforehand. Examples of good questions (examples only, don't use these):
Q: This natural New Hampshire land mark featured on their state license plate collapsed in 2003.
A: Old Man of the Mountain
Q: Who plays Doctor John Dorian on TV's Scrubs?
A: Zach Braff
Q: This protective equipment featured in CS 1.6 is not in CS:S
A: Tactical Shield
The idea is to make them hard, but not exactly Mensa hard. People need to be stumped in order for this to work.
---
Okay, but who dies when they can't answer?
Have the T's line up as usual. Give a order to not move. Afterwards, explain how trivia will be played, and tell them who will die. Be fair with it, and do not mark specific people for death based on a vendetta. Use a pattern. Examples:
Starting from the left or right.
Every other player starting from left or right.
Every 3rd player starting from the left or right.
A specific model of player starting from left or right.
---
How many should die?
I'm going tell you up front. This trivia is obviously gonna take longer than normal trivia. Therefore more people should have a chance of dying. But remember, theres also a chance that nobody will die, and you'll have to move on to another activity. T's will have more of a chance to rebel, as they should. They did win, afterall. If this happens, just remember that if nobody died, nobody is waiting to respawn.
The proposed formula:
([Total number of T's] / 2) / 3 = How many should die during a single wrong question.
Note that I havn't been in school for yeeeeeeeeears, so this formula might not be displayed correctly. In words, basically divide the T players in half, and then divide that by 3. That means if theres 20 T's, then 3 should die, and if all questions are answered wrong, then half of the T team should be left.
---
Example of how you should explain the rules:
"[Name] will ask a question. If one of you gets the question right, then you all live. But if nobody can give the right answer in [time], then [number of players] will die, starting from [method you chose]. This will be done 3 times."
---
I hope this proposal is considered and adopted by some of you. You may change the rules as long as it's explained coherently and done fairly.
