Anyone here played Battlefield 2? Anyone? Do I see a hand over there?
Yeah, that game didn't really have the "updates" that Valve gives to TF2 and even L4D. And when they did release an update, it broke more gameplay mechanics than Valve could ever hope to break, not to mention the gaping wholes left wide open for the purty-little hackers to exploit. In my opinion, these updates make the game that much more exciting, and besides, would you like to rage over the updates breaking things, or the fact that there are no updates at all?
On-topic, I still don't see who in their right mind thought that it was a good idea to put sidestabs back in. I get "sided" more often than I should. I do, however, agree with the addition of the ammo pack pick-up. As an amateur spy, this is awesome news, because knowing where all the ammo packs are, I could get halfway across, say, Fastlane, take out the teles, and possibly get back in time to help the team cap the next point.
Also, you have to remember, only half of the classes were updated, so a lot of things will be out-of-balance until they get down to the last class. So, if you do decide to take a break from TF2, try it again once that's done. It'll be a whole new game then.
