Best RPG Of All Time (In Your Opinion)

Final Fantasy 7 - The story was amazing, the characters were very well developed. The materia system was simple enough that a beginner could use it effectively, yet deep enough that an expert could really use synergy to create some amazing effects. My only real gripe with the game is that they created stunningly beautiful enviroments and then plopped in chunky, blocky character models.

the blocky character models were probably due to lack of technology. the thing that makes me really angry about ff7 is the sony ps3 *tech * demo that shown what ff7 would be like if made for ps3. fans have been DEMANDING this ever since its been seen but sony has let the fans down again. i for one would love to see a ff7 made for ps3. they could add stuff to the original story that couldnt make the game due to limitations. plus it would all be on 1 disc with no need to change. anyone else like to see this happen?

The whole diablo series in general. Diablo 1 for its time was wicked, and I can't believe how many people still play diablo 2 after all these years.

1. Oblivion hands down best rpg that ever existed

Followed closely by FF9 and Fallout 3. Diablo 2 is right behind those.

Three words YES YES YES!!

THEY BETTER or I'm gonna throw my ps3 out the window lol

Oh, forgot to add Deus Ex.

Man, it takes forever... took me like 3 weeks because I pretty much did EVERYTHING, turned on every faucet and all that stuff..was in so much awe that like everything you touched was interactable.

On Computer: Diablo II.

On Console: Secret of Mana (and only because I consider Ocarina of Time to be more of a puzzle game than an RPG)

Mass Effect is the only RPG that i have been able to handle, probably because there is actual shooting instead of menu>attacks>melle>ponyprincessswordofretribution>equip>cast, blah blah blah. It had a great story and i actually got really into the story, as you can probably tell i have a short attention span when it comes to video games, oooooh look a squirell!!!

Oh yeah Ragnorok, I understand the reasons behind the blocky models, was really a very small annoyance for me. I don't own a PS3 so honestly I am indifferent to a PS3 remake.

on computer: Sword of Shannara
on console: Star Ocean: The Second Story, with Final Fantasy 7 in a close second.
