Also, in 2000, we started using flying cars and we stopped having to eat, despite the Ice Age that started.

As you can see, I'm not too worried about it.

Perhaps the calender ended in 2012 because the previous 5200 cycle had ended in 3212 BCE?
Or, better yet, they stopped due to the fact that extending the calender is time consuming?
Oh, otherwise my sister will be 3 and I'll be off on my own raising her, I'll be working, I'll be paying my own rent (And I already do), oh, and I'll be 20.

I've just come to expect the worst of people and the world, so I'm hardly an optimist. Regardless, the fretting over a simple calender ending is purely absurd. As another poster said, "My 2009 calender ends in 2009, and the world isn't ending at the end of 2009."
