You know the mayan calendar was only 9 months long right? Their 2012 has already come and gone. Also the myans didn't see 2012 as the end of the world, they saw it as a new beginning.

My mistake on the months...they had 18 months of 20 days with an ancient maya year only being 360 days...which still would have made 2012 already come and go

Iron and Aluminum are some of the most common elements in the universe, I wouldn't be surprised if armor was made of it.
Again, as I said before, perhaps it was just the end of a 5200 year cycle?

Nothing will happen. If you really think about it, Earth isn't a old planet after all. Compared to some others ones. At least, What they have estimated. On Whatever day the world will "End" I will get up and yell out my house, Into my neighborhood, "So, The end of the world is AWESOME eh?"
Ok, Maybe I won't. But I certainly won't be sitting watching the "News" Seeing what will happen. I will be sitting where I am right now most likely, Playing TF2. Yes, Im serious.
Anyway, The world will come to no end. By the time it does, Everyone on this forum, will has passed away. We have nothing to worry about. Besides. Why worry about it when you can at least fulfill your life in case of that 0.01% chance it happens? I'd want to die happy. Not stressed out about the world ending.

And look, doesn't this all seem to boil down to religion? cause the Myans had their god/religin, and we have our many gods/religions. and each religion teaches a different thing.
not sure its just ufo sightings are coming up more today than ever before ..... some people think that they wanna kill us.some think they dont.and some like me think that they are divide in some sort of civil disposition or somthing
yea but alot of them end up in same place PUNISHMENT.....truely im not very into religion

to the mayans yes 2012 has already passed but to the gregorian calender (the one we all use) the prophecy is actually mistranslated (which is makes me really believe that its a fake prophecy) the "actual end of the world" is supposed to take place 2011 october (forgot the day i try not to dwell on this stuff :glare
however i keep on open mind on this subject as there are also other prophecys that coincide with the 2012 (2011) prophecy such as the nostradamus prediction of the end of the world (a short version of his prophecy "the end of the world will come after the death of the last pope (which is our current pope) and he has accuratly preddicted every pope to have ever existed (this guy lived a long time ago btw hes not recent) also as been said maybe the mayans just got tired of making there callender they existed 300-900 AD (not including the 0 year factor), however they also predicted VERY accurately heavenly events (space) which has actually been confirmed by mondern day scientist, and that there is a scientifically acknoladged event that WILL accour in 2011-2012, the event is supposed to be a i think (i forgot exactly long time since i read this stuff) a reversal in the suns polaritys which is speculativly reduce the earths magnetic fields making Earth more susceptable to harmful rays from the sun (sounds weird but i forgot the details of this). also i beleive that the reason the mayans couldnt continue there callender is oooo idk...they WERE WIPED OUT BEFORE THERE CURRENT CALLENDER CAME TO AN END so of course there callender came to an end...no one was around to continue it. Anyway they technically did complete the mayan callender the completed i believe the 5th solar cycle no one was in a ruch to start eh 6th i bet 
. anyway i could make a whole book on just this topic but il close it off with some other stuff such as people saying jesus age and death equal 2012 somehow...but that could just be a coiincidence...you can find a coincidence in EVERYTHING if u bother to look hard enough, besides manmade numbers i dont think can predict the future....Similar threads
